An evening with one of the greatest engineers in the history of the sport.
Gordon Murray is perhaps best known for the ground-breaking McLaren F1 road car, but he made his name designing enormously innovative Formula 1 cars for Brabham and McLaren, which won 56 grands prix, five world drivers’ championships and three constructors’ championships.
He is a self-confessed ‘problem solver’ and his love for oenology, architecture and rock music is on a par with his desire to solve transport with lightweight and innovative thinking. He recently unveiled a new supercar, the T.50, that promises to rewrite the rulebook for high-performance motoring. The limited-run three-seater, with V12 power, will cost £2m.
The evening with Gordon will be a perfect opportunity to find out what makes Gordon tick, where his ideas come from, and what it was like competing in the cloak-and-dagger world of Formula 1.
