The Hart engine in Ayrton Senna’s Toleman expires spectacularly at the end of Saturday qualifying. He still finished an impressive third in the race.

The Ferrari team works on Gilles Villeneuve’s 126CK. He led the race from third on the grid but suffered brake trouble and crashed on lap 12.
